    NICD batteries die quickly bc they have the memory effect. Every time you charge it, it remembers how much of its capaicty you used on the previous charge and adjusts to that new level. For example. Lets say you used 99.5 of your battery on charge one, then at that point your battery will only have 99.5 of its capacity. Everytime you charge the memory effect will keep diminishing the run time.
